We love our patients young and grown, we are here to help all patients from Ages 2 to 99. Most pediatric doctors recommend children have their first visit with a dentist at age 2.

Children's routine dental service recommendations
- Ages 0-2
No dental needed unless otherwise instructed by pediatric doctor.
- Age 2-4
There may be a cleaning and an exam done at this visit if the child feels comfortable. No x-rays at these appointments. This visit is usually to help children meet the dentist and hygienist, get used to the dental operatory and the instruments used.
- Ages 5-7
Children will receive routine cleanings and exams twice a year along with bitewing x-rays (cavity checking x-rays) once a year and a panoramic x-ray to show the development of adult teeth (taken every 3-5 years). During these visits the dentist will evaluate children to see if Orthodontics (braces) are needed. Sealants will be recommended to protect adult 1st molars that are growing in.
- Ages 8-14
Children will receive routine cleanings and exams twice a year with bitewing x-rays (cavity checking x-rays) once a year. Sealants will be recommended to protect 2nd molars that are growing in.
- Ages 15-18
Children will receive routine cleanings and exams twice a year with bitewing x-rays (cavity checking x-rays) once a year. A Panoramic x-rays will be recommended to check for 3rd molars (wisdom teeth). *Other services our office offers are sealants on adult molars, composite (white) fillings on baby and adult teeth, Fluoride, and extractions for baby teeth, orthodontic, and most wisdom teeth.
Regular brushing and flossing go a long way toward keeping teeth healthy, but grooves in the teeth trap food particles and plaque that are nearly impossible to reach through brushing and flossing alone.
